My name is Nicolas Hall, Freelance 3D Designer (and Model Maker) based in West Sussex. I am passionate about 3D design (particularly lighting products) whether personal or professional. I love problem-solving, quick mock ups as prototypes in all kind of materials, drawings and developig ideas.
I qualified in B.A. (hons) Product and Furniture Design at Kingston University with a 2:1. Before I went to University, I did an Art and Design N.D.D course at Brighton College of Technology (nowadays it is called; City College Brighton and Hove). I started as freelance designer and model maker for two years and then senior model maker for five years in Fine Architectural Models for Hidden Modelshop, under Hidden Design Studio.
A further two years experience in a Production and Technical laser cutting role for Cutture, under Hidden Design Studio, producing wedding stationery and products, working with two graphic designers who designed in 2D and I converted into 3D by using the latest laser cutting machine, I have been using laser cutting machines for five years.
In my spare time, I build and fly radio control model aircraft and sail competitively at Bosham Sailing Club, Chichester harbour.
